Minka is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT 90960) originally from Los Angeles. She received her BA from Bard College and her masters degree in clinical psychology from Antioch University with a specialization in childhood and adolescent development.

She was originally drawn to the field of psychology by her interest in an individual’s capability for growth and change through insight and understanding.  Minka has over fifteen years of clinical psychology experience, giving her a comprehensive perspective of her specializations in adolescent therapy, as well as in individual adult therapy, family, and parental relationships.

She gained her skills in evaluating and treating adults through her internships at The Maple Counseling Center and Open Paths Counseling Center, as well as working in private practice.

Minka’s interest in working with families began with her clinical traineeship at The Early Childhood Parenting Center, where she had her initial experience working directly with children and their parents. After this, she expanded her work with children and adolescents through internships at Step by Step and Open Paths Counseling Center.

Minka pursued her clinical education in adolescent psychology at The Archer School For Girls, where she interned as a school counselor. This experience included working directly with individual students, as well as with groups and the peer-counseling program.
